MedznMore, a Pakistani healthtech startup, has raised $2.6 million in a seed round by a syndicate of seasoned local and international angel investors. Being one of the largest seed rounds in Pakistan’s history, this is great news for the evolving tech startup industry.

MedznMore, headquartered in Karachi, was founded in August 2020 by Asad Khan, a Duke alumnus and the former General Manager at Careem, and Saad Khawar, an E-commerce industry veteran and the former Head of Product for Dawaai.pk.

This healthtech startup operates as an e-pharmacy which aims to streamline the process of acquiring over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medication, with hassle-free delivery right to the customer's doorstep.

MedznMore is attracting top talent from leading e-commerce players, which will allow it to build an impressive team and leverage existing knowledge from the wider startup ecosystem in Pakistan.

Co-founder Asad Khan is passionate about transforming the healthcare industry in Pakistan with his over 10 years of experience in leading healthcare companies in the United States and Europe. He hopes to solve the problem of counterfeit drugs in Pakistan and make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone.

According to Asad, “healthcare is one of the last few frontiers where technology hasn’t disrupted entrenched practices, which are complex, confusing, and inconvenient for the consumers of healthcare services. Over the next few months we will be bringing in diagnostic, telehealth, and personalized health insurance products, so customers can benefit from a one window solution for all their healthcare needs.”

Saad Khawar also comments that “at MedznMore, we are building a product that is based on the best technology stack, backed with operational efficiency and a well-managed logistics engine coming together seamlessly to provide our customers with an amazing experience.”

Although MedznMore will initially launch its operations in Karachi, it has plans to expand nationally.
