Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will launch flights to the United Kingdom with new European aircrafts in coming days.

According to a PIA spokesman, the national airline has resumed operations in the UK through alternative sources and flights to the UK with new European aircraft will start from October 30, for which the national carrier has started booking.

A PIA spokesman said that in the first phase, flights would be operated from Islamabad to London, from Lahore to London and from Islamabad to Manchester.

The spokesperson said that the passengers will be provided comfortable seats, halal food and the world's best in-flight entertainment flights will operate directly. Hopefully, our guests will choose better than any of the best airlines or we will choose the national airline for the best service, the spokesperson added.

Just days ago, British Airways (BA)'s first flight landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport. In this connection, British Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan Alison Blackburne said that she is delighted to welcome the first ever British Airways flight to Lahore. "The first of many, this new direct flight will allow thousands of people who travel between our two great nations to visit friends and family, and support increased trade links. Indeed, this is a sign of confidence in Pakistan and the best of UK-Pak friendship," she added.
