New guidelines issued for Pakistani passengers traveling to UAE

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued new guidelines for passengers traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the guidelines issued by PIA, passengers arriving in the UAE must have at least 2,000 dirhams. In addition, to show money, a return ticket and a confirmed hotel booking will be required.

In case of staying with someone other than the hotel, it will be necessary to provide the details of the residential address. Furthermore, the PIA administration or the Pakistani immigration authorities will confirm the fulfillment of these conditions by the passengers before boarding.

CAA Updates

Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has done away with the condition of Covid-19 RT-PCR test for passengers from 30 countries.

As per the revised standard operating procedure (SOP) for international passengers effective for the duration from October 19 to December 31, 2020, the CAA has updated a list of countries for categories A and B along with reviewed health declaration forms.

The countries whose citizens are no longer required to have the Covid-19 RT-PCR tests administered for travelling to Pakistan are Australia, Nigeria, China, Norway, Cuba, Rwanda, El Salvador, South Korea, Finland, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Senegal, Ghana, Serbia, Greece, Singapore, Japan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Kenya, Togo, Latvia, Turkey, Malawi, Uruguay, Malaysia, Zambia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.

Whereas, passengers from the rest of the countries travelling to Pakistan will be required to produce Covid-19 RT-PCR test reports (a maximum of 96 hours old).
