LAHORE: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said on Saturday that all the pillars of the state are united under the leadership of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He expressed these views while addressing the concluding session of the “Vice Chancellor’s Convention” for the Promotion of peace and Counter-Extremism“ in collaboration with the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO).
Shafqat said that all the constitutional institutions are working together to solve the difficulties faced by the country. He said there is stability in the country adding that our political rivals are destabilising the country by making the judiciary, army and institutions controversial.
He also said after COVID 19 education sector is facing many challenges. The role of distance education system will increase in future. He further said that we support extra co- curricular activities but under the guise of these activities we will not allow any body to full fill its political motives. The final decision on lifting the ban on student unions will be taken after the consultations with the stake holders including vice chancellors.
