MADRID: European Central Bank policymaker Pablo Hernandez de Cos on Thursday said he believed there was scope for further banking consolidation in Spain and other European countries in order to improve the sector's efficiency.
De Cos also said that the ECB would analyze in the next few months whether to extend a recommendation for banks no to pay dividends.
