KARACHI: Syed Basit Aly, Managing Director, House Building Finance Company Limited (HBFC) on Tuesday appeared optimistic to take a lead in 'Naya Pakistan Housing Project' among all financial institutions.

Talking to media after the official inauguration of HBFC newly renovated Karachi - II branch located at Gulistan-e-Jauhar, he said that HBFC has fixed a disbursement target of Rs. 4.5 billion for ongoing year and would enhance further for 'Naya Pakistan Housing Project'. He asserted that the company would take a lead in PM's 'Naya Pakistan Housing Project' among all financial institutions.

Furthermore, he said that HBFC had no voluntary separation scheme on the cards and added that the company had improved its recoveries from 52 percent to 75 percent during the past five years.

Earlier, Basit said that "HBFC is pleased to be able to continue serving our customers in the redesigned space. So far, year 2020 has been a challenging year for the financial services sector, but through the company's continuous effort of offering cutting-edge housing finance services for customers and its customers' unwavering support and trust in the company; we can look forward to another successful year for HBFC", he further added.

Later, he commended the teams for undertaking the challenging assignment with a reinvigorated spirit and completing it successfully in a record period of time.

"Focusing on the company's top priorities of customer service and accessibility, HBFC considered all the features of the space and their influence to make customers feel welcome and comfortable", said Faisal Murad, Group Head, Business & Operations, HBFC.
