KARACHI: The Met Office on Monday forecast hot and dry weather for most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, it said, rain-thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during evening/night.
"A westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country," the Met said.
In the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed over the most parts of the country. However, rain occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. Kalam and Drosh received the maximum amount of rainfall as 6 mm, each, followed by Dir 3 mm, Bagrote 2 mm, Parachinar and Mirkhani 1 mm, each. Highest temperature was recorded in Dadu 40 degrees Celsius, Sibbi, Turbat, Sukkur, Nawab Shah, Nurpurthal, and Khanewal 39, each.
