8th FPCCI ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS: Message from Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh (Advisor to PM on Finance & Revenue)

TEXT: It is a matter of great pleasure to learn that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has continued the laudable tradition of holding the FPCCI Achievement Awards - now in its 8th year. The Awards pay tribute to the best and the brightest men, women, and organizations which have made significant contributions to trade and commerce, academic scholarship and research, and socio-economic development of Pakistan during the year 2019. An institution in its own right, the Achievement Awards are a noteworthy contribution of the FPCCI towards the recognition, promotion, and encouragement of merit and talent of the hard working members and organizaitons of the Pakistani community.

It is important to recognize that the economic development and progress of Pakistan relies on the optimal allocation of the factors of production such as land, labour, capital, and entrepreneurship to their most efficient use, driving innovation and technological change through these Awards, we recognize those individuals and organizations that are doing just that and driving economic growth, providing Pakistan with a competitive edge over our competitors.

I hope and anticipate that the FPCCI Achievement Awards, through their recognition of top talent, will generate fair competition and encourage individuals and organizations to lead Pakistan to economic self-reliance. I extend my warm felicitations to Main Anjum Nisar, President FPCCI and his team for organizing this important event. I would also like to congratulate the FPCCI Achievement Awards winners on their stellar performance and hope that they will continue to serve Pakistan to the best of their ability.
