Head of the Edhi Foundation, Faisal Edhi, PTI MPA Raja Azhar and four volunteers were rescued by fishermen after their rescue boat capsized near Seaview.
Edhi along with others was on a search to find eight persons who reportedly drowned in the Malir river near Korangi Causeway due to heavy rains. However, when they were at Do Darya near Seaview, their boat's engine died, and later their boat capsized due to the impact of heavy flow of water.
In a video message, Edhi said that they were wearing life jackets that saved them from drowning. He continued that for half an hour they all held onto the ropes of an inflatable boat they were carrying. He further said later, fishermen of Ibrahim Hyderi, brought them at Ibrahim Hyderi jetty.
