Ten people from Karachi drown in Keenjhar Lake

THATTA: Ten picnickers, including women and children, died while five of them were saved after their boat capsized in Keenjhar Lake near Thatta on Monday. According to rescue sources, a group of more than 13 people, including women and children, hailing from Karachi, were holding a picnic party at Keenjhar Lake. As they started boating in the lake, they drowned in deep waters. However, people present there saved five of them, while 10 others, including women and children, died. Their bodies have been recovered by rescue teams. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the area after the incident.
