CBOT corn futures lower

CHICAGO: Chicago corn inched lower on Friday, but ended the week strongly up, as traders questioned federal acreage data and assessed the extent of storm damage in the US Midwest. CBOT December corn slipped 3/4-cent, settling at $3.38 per bushel.

For the week, the most-active corn contract rose about 5.4%. Corn futures were under pressure early in the day, after a rally in the previous session pushed them to a four-week high.
