498 new cases take nationwide tally to 289,215

Pakistan reported 498 coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours taking the nationwide tally to 289,215.

Currently, there are 13,953 active cases in the country. In the past 24 hours, 22,448 coronavirus tests were carried out across the country. Out of the total new cases, Sindh reported 278 cases, Punjab 188, Balochistan 61 coronavirus cases, and KP 62 cases.

The country also reported seven deaths from the novel virus. Sindh reported four deaths, Punjab two and KP reported one fatality.

Meanwhile, 2786 patients also recovered over the last 24 hours. 269,087 people have recovered from the virus so far in Pakistan.
