LAHORE: The Provincial committee on Good Governance has recommended the Punjab government to implement the Police Order 2002 in letter and spirit for further improving the law and order situation. It said that its implementation will also ensure the government's agenda of improving the performance of the police officials.
This was recommended at a high level meeting of the Committee held under the chair of Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mahmood-ul-Rasheed at the CM's office, here Thursday. Provincial Minister Yasir Humayun, Members Punjab Assembly Ayesha Nawaz Ch and Asim Mahmood and others concerned officers were also present on this occasion.
The meeting also decided to present government initiatives in an effective manner on print, electronic and social media. The participants of the meeting gave their recommendations and it was decided to present these recommendations to the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Minister for Information. Mian Mahmood-ul-Rasheed further directed to present the report of sub-committees of revenue and price control in the next meeting of the Good Governance Committee.
