- He said their target is to plant 3.5 million trees in a day.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has called his people to participate in the tree planting campaign to be held on Sunday.
In a tweet on Saturday, the PM said he wants everyone to join him tomorrow in the 'biggest tree planting campaign'. He said he has also asked his chief ministers, MPs and his Tiger Force to participate.
"The target is 35 lakh trees in a day though we will try to exceed it," the PM tweeted.
Last week, the PM had announced that August 9 will be celebrated as Tiger Force Day. In a broadcast message, the PM said that the government was planning to set a record for planting the most amount of trees on this day.
He further said volunteers from the Corona Relief Tiger Force will lead a plantation campaign across Pakistan in which he will also participate.
