KARACHI: World Kashmir Forum (WKF) has announced to hold Azaadi-e-Kashmir rally on August 5, on completion of one year of lockdown in Occupied Kashmir by India.

The rally will be held at Sea View, Clifton, on Wednesday for the support of Kashmiris. Camps in connection of Azaadi-e-Kashmir rally will be setup in different places of the city to invite the public for participation in the rally.

Rafique Suleman Secretary Finance WKF has said that the primary purpose of this rally is to create awareness and convince the international community that oppression and barbarism is still prevalent in occupied Kashmir.

"Thousands of Kashmiri youth, elders, women and children are being persecuted and massacred through state terrorism," he added.

He said that persistent human rights abuses are rampant and Kashmiris are being harassed through the worst curfew and severe lockdown for the last one year.

However, despite the India's continuous persecution and massacre of innocent Kashmiris, the international human rights organisation including UN are playing the role of a silent spectator, he said and added, "Entire world's silence on Kashmir issue is a serious criminal act."

Suleman said that Kashmiri brothers have been fighting for their rights and fighting against atrocities, injustices and Indian tyranny for so many years.
