LAHORE: Mitigating risk in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Punjab started e-learning courses.
"Keeping in mind the future demand and COVID-19 situation, a few months back we started e-learning courses in artificial intelligence, data analysis, data sciences, e-commerce training and digital marketing with our partners," said TEVTA Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique here on Monday.
He said that they had received an overwhelming response with 33,000 applications against 500 seats. "The TEVTA Punjab for the first time kept a strong check on its quality and today we are sharing one of the first achievements of those who completed the course. Naveed Ahmed Shaheen, TEVTA's e-learning student, achieved Rs 6.7 million business turnover in 40 days on Amazon," he added.
According to him, TEVTA Punjab has embarked on a new journey and has developed a new digital transformation roadmap. Initially, the focus was on training, but now it will provide students with an end-to-end solution through its demand-driven courses, which will empower them with new skills and develop a new skill ecosystem in Punjab.
