ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) would approach the Election Commission of Pakistan against Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda for having dual nationality.

"Faisal Vawda is having dual nationality and his American passport is still valid and the election commission will be approached with this valid passport," the PPP leaders Dr Nafisa Shah, Palwasha Khan and Haider Zaman Qureshi expressed these view in a joint news conference on Thursday.

PPP Media Chief Nazir Dhoki was also present on the occasion. They said that Faisal Vawda's American passport was still valid but he says, "I have given up my nationality".

The PPP leader said that since the Minister for Aviation declared the pilots' licenses fake, the world had started shutting down PIA flights. "The DG Civil Aviation has made a contradictory statement to the Minister of Aviation. The PIA is losing Rs50 crore daily," they said.

Middle Eastern airlines are taking all the revenue, under whose pressure did the prime minister allowed India to trade with Afghanistan through Wagah border?

The PPP leaders also said that their chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has challenged "selected" Prime Minister Imran Khan for debate on national issues on every forum including the parliament.

They said that Bilawal has challenged the government to show even one hospital in Punjab and KP like NICVD in Sindh. Dr Nafisa Shah said that since the Minister of Aviation stated that 40 percent of the pilots' licenses were fake the world had started stopping PIA flights.

Due to non-availability of flights, the PIA is losing Rs50 crore daily, she said. She said that the PTI has not yet responded regarding its relation with Abraj Group, which is a financer of Imran Khan.

She said that the government has also not answered questions about the mega corruption in BRT Project and Malam Jabba. She said that the government has not yet taken any notice of the threat by Ehsanullah Ehsan.

"Ehsanullah Ehsan had fled the safe house but the government has not come out clean on his escape. This is the reason that the people and Pakistan People's Party call Imran Khan "Taliban Khan"," she said.

"PIA suffered losses of billions of rupees due to irresponsible statement of the aviation minister. Now, the Civil Aviation is asking every country to restore Pakistani pilots because their licenses are not fake. Not even any enemy country can render so much losses to Pakistan as this aviation ministry has done. The PPP vows to raise its voice for honest pilots and employees of the PIA," she said.

Palwasha Khan said that the threat by Ehsanullah Ehsan to Chairman Bilawal was directly linked with Imran Niazi. She said that the government when failed to frighten Chairman Bilawal from the NAB, so terrorists were brought to the fore to threaten him. "Imran Khan's government has started trade with India and we ask Imran Khan that on whose orders, this trade is being started," she said.
