Pakistan decided on Monday to reopen the Wagah border to resume Afghan exports through the crossing.

In a statement issued today, the Foreign Office (FO) said that Pakistan decided to resume exports through the border on special request from the Government of Afghanistan. The statement said decision has been taken to facilitate Afghanistan’s transit trade.

The border will reopen on July 15 after implementing coronavirus related SOPS. "With this step, Pakistan has fulfilled its commitments under Pakistan-Afghanistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA)," the FO statement read.
