Punjab Spokesperson Musarrat Cheema announced on Friday that so far 52,641 patients have recovered from the coronavirus in the province. The total number of recoveries in Pakistan is now 149,092.
In a tweet today, she said Punjab has so far conducted over 573,000. Out of these, 85261 have come out positive. She said in the past 24 hours, more than 8000 tests were conducted.
Punjab has also lost 1972 people to the novel pandemic.
Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid said the number of coronavirus cases have significantly decreased after the provincial government imposed 'smart lockdowns' in several areas.
