KARACHI: Rejecting the minus one formula to eject Imran Khan as the premier of the country from the government, Jamiat Ullema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday said that entire government should be sent packing.
Briefing media after the All Parties Conference here in the city, he accepted the differences in the opposition ranks but vowed to try to dissipate them. "It is the time to throw out the entire basket of rotten eggs as minus one formula is irrelevant now," he said.
He said that the country continues to degrade on a daily basis. "Institutions and the government are not on one page," he maintained. Fresh election should be held but 'free, fair and transparent', saying that the vote is a national mandate. "How much the country will further be destroyed," Maulana questioned.
Leaders of the participating parties in the APC vowed to defend the 18th Constitutional Amendment and will not accept lesser share for provinces in the NFC Award.
