- He said they will be reopened if health situation improves.
Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced on Thursday that educational institutions across Pakistan will open from September 15.
Addressing a media conference, the minister said education institutions will be reopened if the health situation improves. However, opening them will be delayed if the coronavirus crisis persists.
Mahmood further said that the government will issue the standard operating procedures (SOPS) that must be followed after educational institutions are opened. He said school staff will be called ahead to be trained regarding the SOPS.
Regarding examinations, the minister said those educational institutions that had to delay examinations will be allowed to schedule tests that are pending in July.
