ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly's Public Accounts Committee's sub-committee-VII identified and examined 10 audit paras of highest amounts involved from audit reports on the Ministry of Railways in an in-camera meeting held at the Parliament House, here on Tuesday. The five-member committee was convened by Riaz Fatyana. The audit year covered was 2010-2011. The committee only allowed state-owned media to cover the meeting. The secretary committee told Business Recorder that all private media houses were not granted permission to attend the meeting not even through video link.

Noor Alam, a member of the PAC said that it was not in the knowledge of members of the committee that private media houses were not allowed to attend the meeting.

Main PAC and sub-committees are examining the audit observations, embezzlements and corruption cases of tenures of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and the PPP.
