Penalty imposed on 28500 mini coaches: Route permits cancelled of 21 mini coaches

KARACHI: The Karachi Traffic Police imposed penalty on some 28500 mini coaches and seized the route permits of 21 mini coaches which were having PE number plates but were playing on the route of mini buses routes.

The action was taken on a complaint by a citizen regarding violation of route permits by the mini coaches which are having number plates of PE but they are operating of routes of mini buses, said DIGP Traffic Imran Yaqoob Minhas on Sunday.

The penalty were imposed a total 2500 mini coaches in district South, 1500 in East, 13000 in Central, 7000 in West and 4500 in district Korangi for violation of route permit. The tickets were issued to some five mini coaches in district South, three in East, 23 in Central, 14 in West and nine in district Korangi for violation of route permit.
