Youth can make Pakistan a leading nation: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has said that the Pakistan's bright future depends on how the youth have been developed, and how much responsibility they show in real life and we, as the nation expect that our new generation will perform this role of being a Pakistani citizen with pride and dignity.
Addressing the 6th Convocation of the City University of Science and Information Technology; a private concern in Peshawar on Thursday, the Governor said: "it is my firm belief that the fertile and innovative brains of the present youth can do miracles in making Pakistan a leading nation of the world and the government and parents are not sparing any effort to make this possible".
In all more than 330 graduates who were awarded M. Phil, MS, master and bachelor degrees in Education, Computer Sciences, Business, Mathematics and English, 54 got gold medals for achieving distinctive positions in their respective fields. The Governor said like elsewhere in the world, in our country too, the universities are the institutions to generate and apply knowledge and the nation with its dominating contribution towards ensuring their materialisation is fully justified to expect desired results with technological advancements at the top.
However, he pointed out that the miserably low literacy rate in our country poses a great challenge to all of us which not only demands motivation but commitment and devotion as well. Congratulating the graduates, the Governor advised students to be courageous and confident in their march ahead and win an honourable position for themselves and the motherland Pakistan. "This is a challenging phase of your life which is more practical and rewarding", he said.
He also appreciated the services being rendered by the Peshawar Model Institutes including the City University of Science and Technology for promotion of educational services in the province. Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the University presenting the annual report of the university said that it has produced almost 3560 graduates up till now.
Apart from two degree colleges each at Peshawar and Mardan, he said nine schools with total enrolments of 23000 students are working in the provincial metropolis presently under the aegis of Peshawar Model Educational Institutes. Later, the Vice President of the University, Abdul Saboor Sethi thanked the Governor for gracing the occasion despite his heavy schedule of engagements.
