The Punjab government has launched a project of Rs 99 million in Nishtar Hospital to construct a High Dependency Unit (HDC) for the treatment of dengue fever. This was disclosed by the Commissioner Multan Division Muhammad Khurram Agha while chairing a meeting here on Thursday.
He directed the divisional administration to form dengue brigades for launching awareness creation campaign. "Take all public and private institutions on board and spread the word as much as you can on dengue prevention," he added. The commissioner further revealed that land is being selected for establishment of Danish School in Multan.
"As soon as the land is selected, this project will also be launched in Multan," he added. He told the meeting that the project for launching five-marla residential schemes for homeless citizens is being given final shape and it would be launched soon. He directed the administrative officers to get illegal occupants evicted from state lands with full force and reject all pressures.
