Message from Director, Directorate of Provincial Consumers Protection Council, Punjab

I feel much pride to submit few lines at this auspicious occasion when Consumers Association of Pakistan is organising its 7th Consumers Choice Awards 2011. I always appreciate the role of Consumers Association of Pakistan who is working for empowering consumers for their legitimate rights. In fact, it is silver lining to protect and promote the interests of Pakistani Consumers.
In this context, Government of Punjab has taken so many measures for the well being of people by providing them relief against sub standard products and services through implementation of Punjab Consumers Protection Act through Consumers Courts to enable consumers to get immediate relief at very low cost. It is not out of place to mention here that only Punjab Government has established a dynamic institutional system strengthen by District Consumers Protection Councils and Consumers Courts in order to provide prompt justice to masses of the province for redressal of their grievances against services and products.
At the end, at this remarkable event I convey my best regards and wishes for more success in future because Consumers Association of Pakistan is not only endeavouring hard for the betterment of every Pakistani consumers but also working for creating awareness among them for their legitimate rights regarding products and services offered to them.
