Grams prices were sharply up on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as a result of tight supply position, dealers said. On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 low type picked up Rs 1000 to Rs 6200 and the best type gained Rs 550 to Rs 6900, grams Australia No 1 dal rose by Rs 1400 to Rs 7300-7500, grams 50x50 low quality was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 7100 and the good type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 7300.
Yellow peas Canada appreciated by Rs 400 to Rs 4250-4450, yellow peas Canada dal gained Rs 1000 to Rs 7450-4950, yellow peas Ukraine followed same pattern, gaining Rs 350 to Rs 4100-4300 and yellow peas Ukraine dal was higher by Rs 350 to Rs 4600-4800, they said.
On the cereal counter moong Punjab low quality was up by Rs 500 to Rs 7700 and best type gained Rs 1000 to Rs 8000, masoor Canada was registered higher at Rs 6000-6200 and masoor dal gained Rs 1000 to Rs 7000, they said. On the seed sector cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 600 while the good type did not move any side at Rs 700, they said.
