Appointments in FIA on deputation challenged

A division bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) issued notice to respondents for March 2 in a petition challenging appointments in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on deputation. After preliminary hearing of the petition filed by Muhammad Anwar, the bench comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Nisar Muhammad Sheikh ordered issuance of notices to respondents including Secretary Interior and Director General FIA.
In the petition, they maintained that the appointments of officials from other departments on deputation in FIA will effect the promotions of the officials of the agency.
