'Differences developed in PPP Punjab ranks'

Differences have reportedly developed in the PPP Punjab ranks as its Information Secretary Dr Fakhar-ud-Din called on PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz a day earlier after the party had refused to give him a ticket for Senate elections. However, no details of the meeting between Dr Fakhar and Hamza were available forthwith. His move has stirred the party ranks and the PPP Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich contacted him for a meeting.
It is learnt that they are going to meet soon. Dr Fakhar was not happy with party leadership for not offering him a party ticket for Senate elections. Sources said Dr Fakhar was of the view that he deserved party ticket instead of Aslam Gill, another old party stalwart in the province. Even Faryal Talpur failed to appease him during her stay in the province and meeting the possible contestants for Senate elections.
