A Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) conference was organised at the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), an official of the institution said here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion the Chancellor of SSUET, Z.A. Nizami, said that the Holy Quran is a complete code of life.
He said that we should also seek guidance from the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in order to be successful in this world as well as in the life in Hereafter.
Nizami said Islam means complete submission to the will of Allah. He added that Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. He also pointed out that Sir Syed University is the only engineering university where Pakistan Studies and Islamiat are taught as compulsory subjects and efforts are being made to computerise all information and material pertaining to the religion of Islam. Speaking on the occasion, Allama Kokab Noorani said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is Rehmatul-lil-Alameen.
Another religious scholar Allama Syed Razi Jaffar Naqvi said Muslim Ummah should lead the world on the basis of knowledge and wisdom since they have the divine book-Holy Quran-with them for true guidance.
On the occasion, in their speeches, University students Umar Khan Ufaq, Afroz Khan and Fatima Saima Ahmed highlighted the Seerat-e-Tayyaba while Mahmood-ul-Hassan Ashrafi, Abdul Haseeb Khan and Waqas Tariq Sherwani recited naats. The Mehfil-i-Milad concluded with prayers offered by Mufti Athar Naeemi.
