Fake intelligence officer, three extortionists held

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Saturday claimed to have detained over a dozen suspects including a fake intelligence officer and three extortionists in separate raids at various parts of the metropolis here on Saturday. According to the police, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Sindh police claimed arrest of a fake intelligence officer from Shara-e-Faisal.
They said the CIA on a tipoff apprehended the accused namely Mohammad Mushtaq and recovered 9mm pistol, fake army stamps, two cars and papers from his possession. They said the accused Mushtaq, who pretended to have been army officer, was taken into custody several times in the past in same context. Further investigation is underway. Three alleged extortionists, who are said to be one of the political parties, were nabbed by the Sindh Rangers from Rabia City Gulistan Jauhar.
Meanwhile, Khawaja Ajmair Nagri and Sir Syed police in separate raids at sector 7-A North Karachi and Zareena Colony claimed to have arrested four notorious namely Irfan, Kareem, Sarfaraz and Ghulam Yaseen and recovered four TT pistols from their possessions. Sharafi Goth police have also detained five criminals namely Shakoor, Sadiq, Yaseen, Moosa, Yousuf and Abdul Sattar and recovered snatched vehicle, wine and weapons from their possession. A case 284/11 has been registered against them and probe has also been initiated in this connection.
