Former President and chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), Pervez Musharraf, has strongly condemned the arrest of party workers in Lahore. Musharraf dubbed the arrests of Abdullah Sardar and Mobashir Ahmad by the Punjab government as undemocratic and a violation of the constitutional rights of the individuals.
The workers of the APML were staging a peaceful display of Musharraf's portrait and placards at Kalma Chowk when the law enforcement agencies arrested the two party workers.
The APML chief demanded that the workers be released with immediate effect to avoid any further aspersions being cast on the political integrity of the Punjab government.-PR
