Pakistan Business Leader's Summit held

The 1st Pakistan Business Leader's Summit was held on Wednesday at a local hotel in Karachi. The theme of the conference was 'Business leadership for new economic realities'. The Conference was organised by Nutshell Forum in collaboration with PPMA, ICAP, ICMAP, PICG, CIPE, INSEAD Alumni Association of Pakistan, Marketing Association of Pakistan, MIT Enterprise Forum Pakistan, TiP, MPF and Pakistan Software Houses Association.
PTCL, Teradata and Getz Pharma were the gold sponsors while the Institute of Business Management was the Academic Partner and sanofi-aventis, Shield and PharmEvo were the silver sponsors of the event. Prominent speakers representing country's industries participated in this day long conference and deliberated in details the problem faced by the sector and also gave their views on how effective utilisation of resources can benefit the organisation in current scenario.

Syed Masoud Ali Naqvi (Conference Chairman and Senior Partner, KPMG Taseer Hadi & Company Pakistan) speak on 'Business Leadership for New Economic Realities'; Hasan Aziz Bilgrami (Conference Co-Chairman and President, BankIslami Pakistan Limited and ICMAP) speak on 'From History to Leadership", Dr Shamsh Kassim Lakha, H.I., S.I. (Chairman, Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy and former Federal Minister for Science and Technology) speak on 'Leaving a Leadership Legacy', Nadeem Naqvi (Managing Director, Karachi Stock Exchange) speak on 'Transformational Leadership from Emerging Markets' and Syed Veqar ul Islam (SVP, Head of Middle East Africa Region and Member Executive Board, Comptel Corporation, Finland) speak on 'Trust Deficit - The Leadership Challenge' in the inaugural session of the summit.
Meanwhile a panel discussion titled 'New Horizons for Leadership and Strategy: Challenges and Opportunities' was also held. Panellists included Furqan H.
