Sindh Forest Department's Secretary Sohail Akber Shah, who is also the chief of relief operations, has directed the respective district administrations to get vacate the school buildings being used as relief camps after making alternate arrangements.
He said that the decision has been taken to ensure timely completion of the ongoing academic session. He gave these directives during a meeting with the members of District Relief Committee Matiari, at DCO Office. He also directed the District Administration to drain out the rain water particularly from Union Council Bhuledino Kaka, Shahmeer Rahu and other parts of taluka Saeedabad, where according to him many villages were still under rain water. Akbar Shah was informed by DCO Matiari Saqib Ahmed Soomro that as many as 316 relief camps had been established where 67,643 flood victims had been accommodated.
