Maldives' HC calls on Admiral Farrokh

High Commissioner of Maldives, Dr Aishath Shehenaz Adam on Wednesday called on Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Rear Admiral Farrokh Ahmad and discussed with him signing of transfer certificate to enhance Defence Co-operation between the two countries.
Government of Pakistan has approved military assistance to the Republic of Maldives as gesture of goodwill and diplomatic fraternity. The military assistance package includes vehicles, security, medical and other equipment required by Maldives in order to augment security measures during the forthcoming Saarc Summit, to be held in Maldives in November this year. The High Commissioner thanked Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Defence in timely facilitating the request.
