Kayani cancels visit to London

The Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has cancelled his visit to London at the eleventh hour to attend the All-Parties Conference (APC) to be held on Thursday to brief the political leadership of the country with the objective of developing a consensus on security issues.
The ISPR officials confirmed that General Kayani cancelled his scheduled talks on Monday with the British Ministry of Defence. The military leadership is likely to seek political parties' support in upcoming All-Parties Conference (APC) to launch a military operation in North Waziristan as per a long-standing US demand which, sources maintained, was on the cards anyway, it has been learnt reliably.
