Karachi High Court Bar Association President Rasheed A. Rizvi and former President of Supreme Court Bar Association Munir A. Malik called on PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday. On the occasion, The PML-chief paid rich tributes to the lawyers for playing an active role in the restoration of judiciary and strengthening of democracy.
He said the sacrifices rendered by the lawyers' community during movement for the supremacy of law would never be forgotten. "The same spirit is also needed today that the lawyers' community demonstrated for providing guidance to the people during Pakistan movement," he added. The PML-N leaders, including Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Khawaja Asif, were also present on the occasion.
