Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has demanded of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend date for the filing of income tax return keeping in view the dengue onslaught and devastating flood in Sindh and other parts of the country.
The LCCI office bearers; President, Shahzad Ali Malik, Senior Vice President, Sheikh Mohammad Arshad and Vice President, Sohail Azhar in their joint statement on Tuesday said that business community is in deep trouble due to the devastating floods in Sindh and dengue onslaught here. They said that it would be better if an announcement in extension in date for filing of Income Tax Return is made immediately. Last-minute extension in the deadline generally does not work, they added.
