Lutfabad Mango Farms Multan shipped another consignment of mangoes to Chicago (USA) on September 19. Major Tariq Khan (Retd), the owner and chief executive of Lutfabad Mango Farms, disclosed that another three shipments were in the pipeline for Chicago in the coming weeks.
He also expressed satisfaction on the quality of the fruit which was globally GAP certified and had been processed at Lutfabad Mango Farms. Khan said that export of mangoes to America for the last 64 years remained nil. It is the first year that the USA market has been targeted for export of mangoes by Lutfabad Mangoes Farms, he added. Major Khan said the US market had potential to become a large import market for mangoes from Pakistan, with very high value added returns, which would contribute to the national economy.
