Federal Minister for Law, Moula Bux Chandio has said that democracy was the only solution to the problems, issues and crises being faced by Pakistan and those who were hatching conspiracies against democracy were not friends of Pakistan and nation. Addressing the members of Hyderabad Bar Council at its auditorium on Monday, Moula Bux Chandio advised the political opponents to wait for next election instead of hatching conspiracies against democracy.
He surprised that some political opponents were so hasty to power that they have hired the services of astrologists to know the exact date of PPP government exit. He said that history reveals that it was only PPP that had been fought with the dictators right from President Ayub to General Pervez Musharraf and sacrificed the lives of its leaders and workers but unfortunately PPP was handed over power when country fallen into crises. He said that due to its commitment with the nation PPP always took the nation out from the crises.
He said that those who claim themselves as champion of democracy did not launch any movement against the dictators but prefer to remain into the drawing-rooms or leave the country by making agreement with the dictators. He said that later they denied from such agreement but when it made to public, they clarified that the agreement was three years instead of ten years.
He said that later on these leaders realising their mistakes admitted the excessive and brutalities which they made with the PPP during their power and got apology in the Charter of Democracy (CoD) for registering fake cases against the PPP and committed not to repeat the same in future but unfortunately today they are propagating same cases for which they have already excused in CoD.
He said that PPP was pro-peoples and democratic-party because of that today the institutions of democracy were being strengthened rapidly. He said that it was also first time that Awan-e-Sadar instead of indulging into the conspiracies against democracy has strengthened to the democratic institutions by surrendering its power to the parliament. He said that today we are enjoying a democratic president who has addressed the parliament four times and standing with the democracy.
He said that we are not against any institution including apex court, which is revealed from this fact that we always went into appeal to the Supreme Court rather than going against the verdict. He said that we believe in independent judiciary and had rendered many sacrifices for this purpose.
He said that I am proud of that I belong to a worker class family and also member of Hyderabad District Bar Association. He said that being a member of Judicial Council, I always represented to the people of small provinces and stated that the response of Judicial Council was very much positive for getting the problems of the small provinces resolved.
He presented a cheque of Rs 3 million to the President of District Bar Council Hyderabad for grant-in-aid for his council and also announced Rs 2 million for Hyderabad High Court Bar Association. Earlier, the President Hyderabad High Court Bar Association Advocate Allah Bachayo Soomro and President Hyderabad District Bar Association Advocate Nisar Durrani in their speeches welcomed the Federal Minister for Law Moula Bux Chandio and lauded his services, political commitments with the PPP. They apprised the Federal Minister about their problems and requested him for taking the same in the meeting of the Judicial Council.
