Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti while expressing dissatisfaction over finishing work of KPK House Mardan on Sunday directed Provincial Building Maintenance Cell (PBMC) to remove defects in building structure and complete construction work in five months.
Talking to concerned officials, the Chief Minister directed them to strictly adhere to quality control standards and building codes, adding that no leniency would be shown to those found guilty of negligence and use of substandard materials.
Commissioner Mohammad Adil Khan; DIG Abdullah Khan; DCO, Syed Mohammad Shah; SE Works and Services Ashraf Khan; Director PBMC Shams-us-Zaman; Executive Engineer Ghulam Yazdani and officials of concerned departments were also present.
The chief minister directed the DCO for paying a weekly visit to construction site for ensuring quality standard, pace of construction work and submits its progress report of every 10 days on regular basis.
Later, Amir Haider Hoti visited construction site of multi-faceted Western by-pass Project for inspecting construction work on ground. Director Frontier Highway Authority, Javaid Ehsan apprised the chief minister that 40 per cent work on 16 kilometer road of Mardan Ring Road has been completed and whole project would be completed by June 2012 with an estimated cost of Rs617.2 million.
