Pakistan stormed into the quarterfinals of 7-nation International Snooker Team Championship at Dubai Snooker Club after host UAE and Syria, said a message received here on Saturday. Pakistan team of reigning National Champion Shahid Aftab and Muhammad Sajjad displayed fine showing by topping hosts UAE have 3-1 and defeated Syria by same scoreline.
Pakistan was due to meet Thailand in their last league match to determine Group Champions. Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia are teams taking part in the championship. The quarterfinals will be played on Monday.
