LPG price up by Rs five per kg

The marketing companies on Tuesday increased the price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 5 per kg with immediate effect. Chairman LPG Distributors Association Muhammad Irfan Khokhar said the price of a domestic cylinder was raised by Rs 59 and commercial cylinder by Rs 227.
He said the prices had been raised arbitrarily as the Ministry of Petroleum, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) or producers had not issued any notification in this regard. As a result of the increase the price of domestic cylinder has been increased by Rs 100 from Rs 95 per kg in Lahore, Sialkot and Gujranwala, thus raising per cylinder price to Rs 1,150 from Rs 1090.
While in Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Dera Ismail Khan and Sargodha price has been raised to Rs 110 from Rs 105 per kg and domestic cylinder to Rs 1,270 from Rs 1,210. While in Karachi the price of LPG has been raised to Rs 90 from Rs 85 per kg and domestic cylinder to Rs 1,030 from Rs 970 and in Peshawar per kg price per kg was increased to Rs 105 from Rs 100 and domestic cylinder to Rs 1,210 from Rs 1,150.
