National Assembly Speaker requested to call special in-camera joint-session: Malik says forces plotting to destabilise country

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has requested the Speaker of the National Assembly to call a special in-camera joint-session of the Parliament to enable him to about the forces plotting and trying to destabilise the country and their modus oprandi.
"Let me brief the House on terrorist activities in the country. I want to expose the terrorists, who are present everywhere. I will expose faces of Taliban and many others that are destabilising the country," the Minister on Tuesday said on the floor of the Lower House of the Parliament while responding the opposition views on cut motions on his Ministry.
Rehman Malik also said, "I will pubic who is behind the joint conspiracy if my leadership was hit." While referring to the foreign aggression in region of Muhammad Agency and Bajaur, he said when the military takes action in this region against the terrorist they run to Afghanistan and then return back after re-invigorating.
He said that on every third or fourth day terrorists from Afghanistan intruded into Pakistan. "This time, we have killed 70 of the intruders. The government is taking action against them and will continue doing so," he added. Malik said, "Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was responsible for terrorism in the country. The TTP recruits innocent small kids of 11 to 15 years of age and prepares them as suicide bombers. It is now using young girls for this purpose," he claimed.
He said that we would flush out terrorism, which is taking the shape of cancer that had spread in every nook and corner of the country. "For this purpose the nation needs to be on guard," he opined.
Malik said, "Some are providing shelter to terrorists and not opposing them because they do not want them to attack on their gatherings and public meetings." He said that the institutions should be strengthened instead of be criticising. He told the House that the security agencies had averted 1,100 sabotage/terrorist acts last year that went unheeded by the public. He said that the institutions should not be hit because they are already fighting against terrorists. "If you want to hit, criticise Rehman Malik, but do not hit the institutions," he added.
Malik said that Intelligence Bureau (IB), ISI and Narcotic Control are not under Interior Ministry, but opposition holds me responsible about them. While responding to the opposition members, he said that police being a provincial subject come under the control of chief ministers. "However, if a dacoity happens somewhere in the provinces, I am blamed for it," he added. He also told the House about the progress of the Karachi incident in which a young man was gunned down by Rangers, Abbottabad Operation and Salim Shehzad murder.
While responding to the Opposition about the performance of Nadra, Malik said that the Nadra identified millions of fake votes in consultation with the Chief Election Commissioner. He held out assurance to hold fair and transparent elections.
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister said while responding the calling attention notice that there was a complete ban on use of Sheesha in schools and colleges in the Capital. He said that the government has taken steps in this regard. He said that Sheesha was also a kind of addiction but unfortunately non-smoking ordinance was not so effective to control the practice. The minister said that a bill has been moved to increase fine and sentence for violating anti-smoking law.
