An exhibition was held in Air University by Mechatronics students showing their skills by making different projects in the final year, says a press release issued here on Monday. Mechatronics Department organised that exhibition in which robots, solar energy ovens, cars and different products made by students were displayed.
The main feature of the exhibition was the fuel efficient cars, which will compete in Shell ECO Marathon from July 6-9, 2011 in Sepang, Malaysia where engineering students from Asia will also be invited. The participating groups are divided into three teams: Hexa K developed a gasoline based car, which covers 130Km in 1 litre petrol.
Y- Nots produced Ethanol Based vehicle which travels 150Km in 1 litre ethanol. Air-X made completely electric car which travels 180Km in 1 unit of electricity. Few other projects consist of Pneumatic pick and place robotic arm, segway (two wheeled robot), autonomous parts dispensing robot, intelligent wheel chair hovercraft and hydrogen and gasoline mixture.-PR
