Director Institute of Sindhology, University of Sindh, Muhammad Qasim Maka has denied the allegation by employee Manzoor Ghangro. He said it is true that Ghangro was working as a peon at the department but they did not assign any responsibility or contract to him in connection with the paintings of the institute, therefore, his claim for the amount is baseless.
A contradiction statement by Muhammad Qasim Maka, issued on Monday, strictly denied the allegations in a news item appeared in newspapers on Monday and said that Sindhology Department did not give any assignment or contract to the peon. He said that Ghangro remained absent from his duty from June 1 June 17 and due to his regular absence, was relieved from the department on June 17.
He further said that considering Ghangro a poor employee, he was allowed to open canteen in the premises of the department and allotted one-room quarter without any charges but without information to the institute, the employee sublet the canteen to an outsider. Sindhology Department director clarified that Sindhology has its own and best artists and they are working well for the beautification of the institute, therefore, there is no any reason for assigning any work of paintings to the peon.
