Industrial cities: loadshedding to be carried out at the minimum: Prime Minister
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday said power load shedding in industrial cities would be kept at minimum level to enhance overall industrial production in the country.
Addressing members of business community and PPP workers here at Sialkot International Airport during his short stay, he said the budget had been prepared after consultation with elected representatives and chambers of commerce and industries to ensure economic prosperity and mitigate people's problems.
He said he would announce special incentives for industrialists and traders to bring about political and economic stability in the country. He said a special grant of Rs500 million would soon be released for carrying out remaining work of Sialkot International Airport, which had been upheld due to last year's devastating floods.
Earlier, the prime minister was welcomed by Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, PPP leaders and senior government officials at the Airport.
