Unidentified militants have blown up an electric tower of Terbella-Peshawar transmission line of 500 KV, which has plunged Peshawar and adjoining areas into darkness.
Police said on Sunday a powerful bomb was planted at 265 tower, Taru Jabba in Nowshera district and was detonated with remote-control device, partially disrupting power supply to Peshawar and adjoining areas. The Pesco spokesman said low voltage and loadshedding in Peshawar and adjoining area was due to destruction of the tower for which the company is highly regretted with the consumers.
