The DNA report on PNS Mehran attack has finally confirmed that all attackers were foreigners. According to SSP Investigation Niaz Khoso, the Sindh police have received the DNA report on PNS Mehran attack in which 10 security personnel were killed and 15 others were injured on May 22, 2011. He said the report has confirmed that all terrorists, who were in their mid-twenties, were Eurasian.
Further, he said, all attackers had blood relations with each other. Meanwhile, sources said that although the law enforcement agencies claimed to have progressed in the investigation with rapid pace, no major breakthrough has been witnessed since attack, despite this DNA report.
They said the terrorists used Russian made weapons, including rockets, LMGs, SMGs and Kalashnikovs in the attack. They said the gun-battle between the security forces and the terrorists took place in the range of 80 to 100 metres. They said the ethnicity of the terrorists has now been confirmed as Eurasian through DNA report.
