Punjab University vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran inaugurated 'Sculpture Exhibition' of MA final year students at College of Art & Design (CAD), Allama Iqbal (Old) Campus on Friday. College Principal Professor Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, College of Information Technology Principal Professor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Additional Registrar-II Imran Javed, Resident Officer-I Javed Sami, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
The exhibition will continue till June 24, and wood, iron, rope, crockery, glass, stone and cigarette has been used in 40 theses projects displayed in the exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, vice-chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran said there were many ways of expression of thoughts and sculpturing was one among those effective ways of expression. He said the students had tried their best to point out many problems of life and also presented their solutions in their theses. He appreciated the efforts of teachers in polishing the students' creative capabilities. The vice-chancellor said there was dire need of mutual hard work of teachers and administration for institute's development.
